People's Harmonious Development Society


We see our mission in promoting people's harmonious development, protection of human rights, building an open society, and ensuring free and unimpeded access to information.

Our objective is to identify and tackle of the problems in the field of human rights, assessment of situation, develop recommendations to draft policies in cooperation with government agencies and non- governmental organizations, coordinate relevant actions, raise public awareness through information campaigns in mass media and educational programs.

The organization works in close cooperation with partners across Georgia, South Caucasus and Middle Asia.

The organization's scope of work includes:

  • Studying the problems pertinent to women’s human rights;
  • Education and information campaigns with a view to prevent WHR violation;
  • Lobbying for legislative reforms, initiatives and developments in government policy in the field of WHR;
  • Monitoring and support to the implementation of the National Action Plans on protection women’s human rights.

We have realized more than 60 projects with support from Open Society – Georgia Foundation, Catholic Relief Services/South Caucasus, European Commission Delegation to Georgia and European Commission, OSCE mission to Georgia, OSCE/ODIHR, ODIHR Anti Trafficking Fund, Regional Ecological Center for Caucasus, International Human Rights Internship Program Institute of International Education, US Government, MercyCorps/USAID.

NGO People’s Harmonious Development Society is member: of Georgian Women’s Coalition (supported by OSCE/ODIHR) since 2000 – up to present
